Fredfades "Remixes" (co-prod. Deckdaddy) (free dl)

UK Recordstore KingUnderground put out dope stuff on vinyl. Oslo SP Ensemble, being cratediggers and DJs, love vinyl. Fredfades and Ivan Ave (former Ivy League, if you heard our Brains EP with him) are dropping a vinyl real soon (I also co-produced on that one). While we all wait for it, King Underground dropped this collection of Fredfades remixes! Oslo SP Ensemble members John Rice and myself co-produced a couple of joints as well. This is a free download, so be sure to cop this heat! And if you haven't downloaded the free Pine Trees EP you might as well do that as well.
On a side note, I just finished spicing up and mixing Ivan Ave's new video EP titled Portals, which you can stream/download here and peep the vids on YouTube.

Featured in SP1200 book

A brand spankin' new dope ass book about the legendary E-mu SP1200 sampler has just been released by 27sens! The SP1200 is a main ingredient in my (and of course the whole Oslo SP Ensemble's) sound and setup(s). Fredfades and me got interviewed for this book, along with some VERY respected Hip Hop producers.

This book is a must if your'e into Hip Hop, as few other machines has helped form Hip Hop as much as the very first samplers did. So kick back with a cup of whatever and read this book while blasting our SP SHIT series beat tapes!

So check the book out and get your copy!

Twisted Aristics & Deckdaddy "Glimpse Of The Stealth" EP

My main man Twisted Artistics and I have known each other since we hooked up as members of a Hip Hop act in the late 90's. We have kept on working every now and then, but lately more focused which resulted in this 7 track EP.

Put out by G'Bless Records on vinyl, with instrumentals on the B-side. Twisted holds it down lyrically and I cook up the beats and provide some cuts. The AbSouljah (Queens) and Blak Philly (Connecticut) guest appears too!

Here's one of the tracks on soundcloud.

I got plenty copies for y'all in Norway, and international buyers can get it at UGHH or via discogs.

Oslo SP Ensemble on "Produced In Norway 2"

Plastic Strip Press is a dope record label that puts out top quality Norwegian music in diverse genres from live dusty jazz club sets and obscure funk influenced folk music to modern Hip Hop, all put out on vinyl records.

Produced In Norway is a series showcasting talented underground producers, and that's where we come in. On this volume (Vol. 2) we was asked to contribute our stuff, and of course we did! Our side is 20 minutes containing beats ranging from cozy SP1200 jams to heated MPC bangers. Also two rap tracks featuring Ivy League (a.k.a. Ivan Average) and Dreamon (former Mista A).
You can check it out or buy it on iTunes and Spotify, but I rceomend the dope ass 2xLP Gatefold record from either online or local record dealers. I got some copies for sale!

"SP SHIT" Series Beat Tapes (free dl)

When both Fredfades and myself got our hands on SP1200 samplers, we instantly fell in love with the sound and fun of that beast. Instant Hip Hop sound, heavy drums hitting hard, and being forced to keep things minimalistic and tight! Together we make quite a lot of beats on it, and to share them with y'all we give you the SP Shit series beat tapes. Later on we got to know John Rice and his SP1200 skills, so naturally he got included on the tapes and as a member of the Oslo SP Ensemple.

Fredfades has very detailed descriptions + tracklists on the tapes at his blog, links provided for those interested. Now bang all volumes 1 through 4 for instant Hip Hop beats!
